I am a worker-bee. I am known to like my to-do list checked. I do not gray matter. Give me the list and let me work it. Tomorrow I will need a new one. That is how I have rolled for years.
But when it comes to His Grace. His Love. His Mercy. I do not fully comprehend it. I can not swim in it enough. There is no list, no formula, no work to be done by me. I can not earn it, work it, or fulfill it.
A verse in Ephesians 3 has me hungry for more love from Him. 'to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.'
but such verse messes with the order of my to do list. And I am so thankful it does.
the fullness of God. -- not only that, but 'that you may be filled with the fullness of God'.
How do we grasp such verses, promises from God.
'to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge'
to know such love.
to partake in such love.
to receive such love.
to give such love.
such love that surpasses, goes beyond all time, space and thoughts and plans.
such love that is not earned, marked, measured.
such love that is all compassing, all fulfilling, and can not be withheld.
such love He says to us :
to be filled with such love. how would our lives be different. how would our lives be given to one another. how the great commission would be fulfilled.
May we ask for such abundant love?
Such love will change all.
He is such love.
Father,
Thank you. Thank you Father for Your love to us. Unconditional. Truth. Love. Unending. Never Failing. Earnestly, I pray for such love. I acknowledge that I do not know for what I pray. For God, you are Love. Divine Love. You loved me first. You love us first. In order that we can come to You. Free to love. Free from the bondage of sin. Help us to know more of You that we may share the Good News of Your love to another. May I know Your love. May I share Your love. To Christ be the glory. Forever. For all generations. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Ephesians 3:19-21
New King James Version (NKJV)
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
